The National Health & Medical Research Council (NHMRC), which is Australia's leading medical research body, conducted research and reported between 2012 and 2015 that homeopathy is ineffective. After the senate requested a thorough review of their research methods, the NHMRC had to admit that they did not follow recognised scientific guidelines or standards in reviewing the evidence on homeopathy! This misguided review was then used to terminate the private health insurance rebate for homeopathic treatment in Australia.
After further investigation, it was found that "If standard, accepted scientific methods were used, the review team would have had to report that 88 of the 176 studies (50%) reported statistically positive results, with many of these studies being of high methodological quality. Only 9 (5%) of the 176 studies reported negative findings and the rest inconclusive – strikingly similar to conventional medical research findings." - as quoted from https://www.yourhealthyourchoice.com.au/news-features/science-fact-or-fiction-nhmrc-admits-they-did-not-use-accepted-scientific-methods-2/
Please take the time to read this article as it highlights some the major errors in the review as well as stating some of the actual scientific findings which provides support for the efficacy of homeopathy.
