Surviving the Holidays - Grief and Disappointment
Although the holidays are typically a time filled with family, joy and love, the holidays can be the hardest time of year for some. You could be missing a family member that isn't there this year or has passed away, or maybe you've recently had a break up.
Another form of grief or disappointment can come with breaking a brand new gift or not having the Christmas you expected.
For all of these things and more, homeopathy can help. Here are a few remedies that can be very helpful when dealing with grief and disappointment:
This person cries, sobs or can laugh uncontrollably with strong feelings of grief. They often want to be left alone and will brood on their disappointments. This person often feels like they have a lump in their throat, (like they're holding back tears), and can develop the hiccoughs.
The person needing this remedy also wants to be left alone to brood over their disappointment as they prefer to avoid talking about their grief, (they keep it all inside). They are easily offended by even the slightest criticism and they crave salty foods. They can also get headaches when in the sun.
This person is weary and apathetic. They become quite withdrawn and prefer to be alone. If they're out at a function, all they want to do is go home to be alone. They crave refreshing foods like fruit and love carbonated drinks.
Please speak with a licensed homeopath to help you choose the appropriate remedy, potency and frequency of dosage.
