Homeopathy for Abscesses

Abscesses are a nuisance and will usually clear up on their own over the course of 7-10 days. If you'd like to clear them quicker OR if they're taking too long to clear up, there are some homeopathic remedies that can help.
For instructions on how to use these remedies, what potency and the frequency of doses, please book an acute appointment here.
Belladonna – The abscess will be red with throbbing pain and no visible pus.
Hepar Sulph – works well in the early stages of an abscess. The pus is typically thick, yellow and the patient is sensitive to touch. Silicea – This abscess has thin and watery pus and takes a long time to heal. The patient is typically chilly and worse in wet and cold weather. Merc Sol – This abscess produces pus quickly and has throbbing pain that is worse from warmth of bed.
Pulsatilla – Lots of bloody, yellowish or green pus. These patients are better in cold, open air
Calendula – Pus is thick and yellow but there isn't any inflammation.
