World Homeopathy Awareness Week
Every year from April 10th to April 16th we celebrate World Homeopathy Awareness Week. April 10th is always the start of the week because it is the birth date of Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homeopathy.
So what is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a popular system of natural medicine that has been used for over 200 years. It is recognized by the World Health Organization as the second largest therapeutic system used in the world. It has been integrated into numerous national health systems in countries such as Germany, UK, India, Pakistan, Mexico and Sri Lanka. The remedies, (medicine), used are completely natural and are made from plants, animals, minerals, and metals.
Homeopathy takes the whole person into account when prescribing remedies. These carefully chosen remedies work by stimulating your body’s natural ability to heal itself.
